Saint Kitts and Nevis is a two-island country in the Leeward Islands, with volcanic peaks, rainforest, old sugar plantations and quiet beaches. It is the smallest sovereign state in the Americas, relaxed and friendly, with a rich colonial history. It suits travellers looking for walking, history and calm beaches over big resorts.
December to April is the dry season and the most popular time to visit, with sunny days and cooling trade winds. May and June are quieter and still largely dry.
Mobile coverage is generally good across both islands, with 4G in the main towns, resorts and along coastal roads. Signal can weaken on the slopes of the volcanoes, in the rainforest and in some sheltered bays. Wi-Fi is available in hotels, guesthouses and many restaurants. Install an eSIM before you fly and switch it on when you land, so you have data for maps and messages on both islands.
